Nickolaus represents the third generation of the Hill family at Union Concrete. He has been exposed to the business his entire life and started working as teenager. He spent countless summers in high school and college out on the job, rising to superintendent.
Currently, as Secretary/Treasurer, Nickolaus assumes overall responsibility for Union Concrete’s financial management and operational activities, including risk management, legal affairs, IT, and equipment functions. He is substantially involved in the company’s labor relations, as he has participated on multiple AGC negotiating committees. He also serves as a trustee on the Buffalo Laborers and Upstate Operating Engineers Benefit Funds. Nickolaus constantly works to uphold his family’s commitment to quality, integrity and partnership.
Nickolaus holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Boston College, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant license from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
