Union Concrete played a major role in transforming the grounds surrounding the historic Terminal B into a new public waterfront destination on Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. The project reclaimed approximately seven acres of formerly contaminated and inaccessible industrial property, creating expansive green space centered around a new sloped event lawn and landscaped park areas. UCC’s work helped establish new pedestrian connections and install landscape features incorporating trees, shrubs, meadows, and native habitat areas designed to enhance the Lake Erie waterfront while supporting migrating and nesting birds. The completed landscape connects Terminal B with the surrounding Outer Harbor park system and provides new opportunities for recreation, events, and public access to the waterfront.
