Project Overview

Sturgeon Point Marina Revitalization

Located on the shores of Lake Erie in the Town of Evans, the Sturgeon Point Marina project focused on restoring and strengthening critical marine infrastructure damaged by years of severe weather and wave action. Union Concrete completed repairs to the marina’s breakwater system, including the replacement, reinforcement, and addition of armor stone, along with dredging and the repair of storm-damaged appurtenances. The completed work restored the marina’s original design intent while improving the durability and long-term protection of the harbor.

Breakwater Rehabilitation
Repaired and reinforced the marina’s western breakwater through the replacement and addition of armor stone, restoring its intended configuration and strengthening protection against Lake Erie wave action.
Marine Dredging Operations
Performed targeted dredging within the marina to provide access for construction activities and accommodate repairs to the breakwater and surrounding infrastructure.
Storm Damage Restoration
Repaired and replaced storm-damaged marina appurtenances and infrastructure, restoring critical components of the facility and improving its long-term resilience to severe Lake Erie conditions.
