Renewing Critical Infrastructure Beneath Downtown Lancaster

Union Concrete is completing the rehabilitation of the Plum Bottom Creek culvert in the heart of the Village of Lancaster. The project addresses approximately 125 feet of the existing large-diameter culvert through slip lining with a new tunnel liner plate system, restoring structural integrity while allowing the existing culvert alignment to remain in place. Work includes culvert cleaning, installation of the new liner system, stone fill, drainage modifications, construction access, and associated improvements within a constrained downtown environment.

Large-Diameter Culvert Rehabilitation

Rehabilitating approximately 125 feet of the existing Plum Bottom Creek culvert with a new tunnel liner plate system, extending the useful life and structural integrity of this critical downtown drainage infrastructure.

Specialized Underground Construction

Completing culvert cleaning, stone fill placement, drainage modifications, and installation of the new structural liner within an existing approximately 10-foot-diameter culvert beneath the developed Village center.

Large-Diameter Slip Lining

Rehabilitating approximately 125 feet of the existing 10-foot-diameter Plum Bottom Creek culvert using a specialized slip-lining operation. A new tunnel liner plate system is installed within the existing structure, providing a renewed structural system while minimizing the extensive excavation and surface disruption that would be required for full culvert replacement.
