Project Overview

In a single weekend, the damaged superstructure elements of the I-190 Interchange over I-90 were removed, replaced with a pre-cast deck and girder system along with rail, expansion joints, overlay and extensive Workzone Traffic Control (WZTC).

Project Stats

Union Concrete orchestrated construction on a compressed timeline of a 59-hour full Interchange ramp & mainline closure allowance in 47 hours, ensuring all components flowed seamlessly within a compact site.

Coordination with NYSTA, NYSDOT, NITTEC and other local agencies were crucial to the success of this project.

Project Management and field supervision established a detailed schedule, and contingency plans, using half hour increment allowances through close correspondence with subs and suppliers.
